wooooooot.... i had so much fun yesterday... straight after class at 4 i rushed all the way back to compass point... then was frantically searching for ingredients to do up a dinner... i had invited two of my friends over for dinner and at 5pm i still hadn't really thought of what to cook for them... haha... i had been so busy with the projs as well as CCN day that i just didnt really put much effort into thinking about it... heees... well so i was there in cold storage plying up and down the isles.... and as i walked i just tried to get as much inspiration as i could... in the end it was decided that i was going to do a simple honey glazed chicken and some beef steaks for main course... and was still slowly soaking in inspiration for the appetizer and dessert... at 6pm i finally struck gold.... decided to do a simple piece of bread with some tomatoes and button mushrooms with a nice crisp cheddar gratin over the mushrooms and drizzled with balsamic vinegar to enhance and lift the taste...
well dessert wise... well lets just say i took the easy way out... decided that since i didnt have much time to prepare and stuff, as they were arriving at around 7, decided to make do with ice cream... hey you cant ever go wrong with a dessert like that... for drinks, i decided to have a little mocktail of passion fruit juice with tonic water and soda water.... wasnt too bad...=)
well we had a great time chatting and only finished our night at 1am haha... was really great fun and worth the effort...
